There won’t be a repeat of the Nole-Murray final of 2011 which was a one-sided disaster. The mere prospect of seeing Rafa and Roger lock horns in any stage other than the final is one worth dying for. The legion of fans will definitely be having a bit of less pressure seeing these two legends meet in the semifinal stage. This is assuming both these men make it till the last four stage.
The seedings have exactly followed the rankings pattern and they are as follows

Djokovic will begin his title defense against Paolo Lorenzi. He could square off with Milos Raonic or Andy Roddick in the 4th round. Four time semifinalist Roddick has to first get past Aussie Lleyton Hewitt in the 2nd round. This could be a highly charged match between the two veterans who were caught up in the Federer era. Ferrer could meet Tipsarevic in the 4th round before a possible match up with the World No.1 in the quarterfinal.
Murray has a comfortable passage till the 4th round where Gael Monfils will possibly be waiting for the Brit. Two more Frenchmen Giles Simon and Tsonga could square off in the other 4th round from this quarter. It’s a French battle all the way for the Scot as he aims to win his first Slam in the company of coach Ivan Lendl.
In Federer’s quarter, Mardy Fish and Del Potro could square off in an explosive 4th round featuring two heavy hitters. Bernard Tomic and Verdasco clash in a mouth watering 1st round offering. The Aussie kid Tomic will be noted with a lot of interest. He is one helluva talented kid. Federer has to take care of either Fish or Del Potro for his expected date in the semifinal with Rafa.
In Rafa’s quarter, Berdych should progress to the 4th round without much fuss. Ivan Ljubicic could be a tricky opponent for Rafa in the 3rd round. Another big serving giant, John Isner could loom in the 4th round for the 2009 champ. After this, Berdych might feature in a quarterfinal with the Spaniard. Huge hurdles to cross on a surface where he hasn’t had much success save the 2009 edition.
